Summer Cold Cure

it happens every now and then...the summer cold. it's miserable because it's hot outside and you shouldn't have a cold unless it's actually cold outside. drinking hot tea is next to miserable. so here's a great, southern, tried and true cure (sort of...it won't really cure you immediately, but it will help you sleep through the teeth-grinding, sore-throated night.)

- about a finger of bourbon
- half a lemon
- a few gobs of honey

mmmmmmm.

St. Patty's Day Treat

today i made these cake balls for the salon for a little st. patrick's day treat. i got the idea from my friend, vanessa, last year. this could really be used for any holiday, but i thought the green was so cute! her instructions are here. i was running out of white chocolate, so i had to drizzle the last half of mine. but they were delicious nonetheless.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Tart

this weekend we moved my sister and brother-in-law to memphis, which was so sad, and i don't want to talk about it. but one thing my sister is obsessed with is easter candy - namely reese's eggs. which has had me craving them. so last night i made this chocolate peanut butter mousse tart for our small group and it was soooooo good. a little rich (i think i may have used a little too much cream cheese) but still really good. i'm using the original author's photo as i did not take one before it was served...

but this is what it looked like after...which i think was a good sign.

our group has been going through some rough stuff lately, which just makes me all the more grateful for the wonderful friends God has put in our lives. we are so, so thankful for them!
