well, i'm basically recovered. but up until yesterday, i haven't been able to drive. while my sister has been so kind as to come pick me up, i have also been spending lots of time on the good ole couch. and i have fallen in love...with 30 rock. i know, i know...5 seasons and and a butt-ton of emmy's later. but i just started at season 1 on netflix.
is anyone as excited about friday night lights' return to air as i am??? probably not. it is by far, one of the greatest shows on television - so inspiring. for those of you who have fallen in love with parenthood and haven't watched friday night lights yet (ahem! david) it's the same executive producer, jason katims. plus, this week they closed the episode with sufjan steven's version of "come thou fount"...yes, please.

so since we don't have cable, we watch all tv shows either on hulu.com or on dvd. the latest gem we have become obsessed with is mad men (and yes, another side effect of not having cable is being about a year behind). we just finished season 1 and it was ridiculous. i think revolutionary road stole a page from amc on this one. anyway, if you are bored this summer while everything is in re-runs (on the nights "so you think you can dance" isn't on, of course) you should netflix it and get addicted too. that's all...
