Adopted for Life

awhile back, i started reading adopted for life by dr. russell moore. for those of you who aren't familiar with the book or the man, he and his wife adopted two sons from russia about 6 years ago. they are adoption advocates, but most importantly he wants to promote that the reason for adopting is purely because God adopted us. therefore, that is why we are called to do it and that is the only real reason for it.

i love this line:
"without the theological aspect, the emphasis on adoption too easily is seen as mere charity. without the missional aspect, the doctrine of adoption too easily is seen as metaphor."

p.s. here are some new ones of this little fella!
